Friend of CHOA,
It is humbling to try to stay informed on all that is going on with Housing, even just in Arcadia. CHOA is working to give you updates and information, in and around Arcadia, to help you see how you can be engaged. There are many ways you can make an impact.
We are grateful for many (even small) steps of progress. Talking to each person is important, to absorb the changes occurring now, and the large changes that will occur.
CHOA has been meeting for a few months, but making so good inroads, at the city level, and among the faith community in Arcadia.
We are grateful for the gathering we had on Saturday, November 5th. We thank Santa Anita Church for letting us use their Fireside room. We are so thankful that City Councilmembers April Verlato and Michael Danielson joined us. We had a few new folks join us as well. It was a key time to hear updates from CHOA, and from new partners, like Stephen and Eileen Casey from the Hills Church and their food pantry (see the spotlight below), as well as from Jake Pierce from Abundant Housing LA.
If you missed the gathering, we have much of the time recorded. Please go to the web page below to see the videos, our slide presentation, and the PDF handouts. There is a password, so ask us about what that is.

If you like to help and get engaged, email us at Mike.ArcadiaHousingSolutions@Gmail.com.
Get ready to join us for the April event, after Easter. We’ll send you more information on that.
Spotlight (continued) – The Hill Church:
The Hill’s Church Food Pantry team – led by Stephen and Eileen Casey – came to our November 5th gathering. They shared how they are touching folks in Arcadia, and worldwide. Some key examples are providing formula milk, when parents cannot find it anywhere. To allow folks to not choose between gas and food. Grace and love is shown at the Hill’s Church every 2nd and 4th Saturday, from 10am to 12pm. Go see what they are up to, and spread the word about their food pantry.
Here’s some examples of what they offer…again for free:
Tajin Seasoning
Red Onions
Bagels – mixed
Yellow squash
Broccoli
Potatoes
Romaine lettuce
Nectarines
Lemondade with turmeric
Vita milk soy milk
Watermelons
Blueberries
Bread
Milk 1%
Another Saturday, they provided the following:
Peppers
Cumubers
Tajin Seasoning
Potatoes
Quaker rice cakes
La Chef dinner rolls variety
Tri color tortilla chips
Vita Mike Thai tea

Spread the word!! Especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up! Good food here…and God’s provision and love.
